For a student, his college embodies information and knowledge experiences, memorable interactions, treasured networks and cherished memories of a lifetime. His personality, professionalism and perceptions are built on this foundation. Gaining admission to the best schools is an effort requiring competence coupled with enthusiasm, right knowledge and focused endeavor.
Exposure to a variety of different career paths options enables students to make more informed choices, not only about the higher education pathways but also about careers that these pathways eventually lead to. They become more aware of their options, which help them make better choices about their majors and college/university courses. This is especially important for those who do not know what they want to do prior to the program. Our college readiness program works with students across the board to increase their awareness and understanding of careers and educational opportunities beyond high school/secondary school. Students participate in the program from 10th-grade through 12th-grade.
Through self-assessment and other objective assessment tools, our counselor maps and quantifies the individual student’s strengths and interests and to the universities which will be the right fit for him/her. Our counselor then draws up a healthy mix of 'aspirational' schools where the student can hope to gain admission and 'safe' schools where he has appreciable higher chances of acceptance and substantial scholarship support.
We also help in the final preparation of student admission essays, resumes, scholarship requests, etc, in addition to guiding the students for tests such as GMAT, GRE, SAT while stressing the importance of and the vital role of a good resume, extra-curricular activities and community service in the admissions process.
